Picture this….
You are on a strategy call with a potential new client, you get to the part of the conversation where you are closing the sale and next thing you know you are creating an offer on the fly that you had no intention of ever offering. Does this sound familiar? I bet it does. I used to do it all of the time as well!
Creating an Offers Binder
I became so frustrated with myself that I just had to do something about it. So I created a binder who’s purpose is to ”house” all of my offers. That way when I have a strategy session with a potential new client, I don’t offer programs that I don’t want to put out there. This also keeps me from floundering on the investment of my offerings.
What to Put In Your Binder
Anytime I am creating a new offering I always do the following:
In my one inch binder I have a typed document that details the four keys points that I just mentioned above. All of my products and programs are detailed in this manner and are kept in plastic page protectors. When I am speaking with a potential new client depending on the flow of the conversation and the clients needs, I will choose which offer I am going to lead with.
This keeps me focused on the clients needs and I can clearly state the outcomes of my offering, which of course is what we want to lead with when we are closing a potential new client. This level of organization also keeps me from undervaluing and undercharging!
I personally love binders. I like to buy mine from www.russellandhazel.com. They are a bit pricey, but they are pretty to look at and match my style. Of course, you can also opt to have an electronic folder that keeps all of your offers nicely organized.
Regardless if you choose a binder or an online folder, detailing your products and programs and organzing them will certainly lead to clearly articulating your offer which of course, will lead to increased sales.
